Students learn about globalization and its effect on the everyday lives of people around the world.  Located in Silicon Valley, the heart of technology and innovation, this camp is one of a kind!

Camp Marco Polo, based in Silicon Valley, is a one-week camp, conducted through lecture/storytelling and hands-on interactive activities, which teaches students to understand the world around them through the culture, commerce, and technology of the ancient Silk Road and its connection with the modern global market.

The camp will finish with a tour of destinations in both the West and East coast of the United States, including: Apple and Google headquarters, Stanford University, Disneyland, Universal Studios Hollywood, Harvard and Yale Universities, The White House, the Statue of Liberty, and much more!

  • Program Requirements

    • Participants must be between 11-15 years old
    • Display a genuine interest in technology and world culture
    • Be willing to adapt to the life of an American family
    • Agree to accept the family assigned to them by GCI
    • Sign and abide by the GCI Conditions of Participation on the application form
